Working

Juan just called me from work with an interesting,
emotional morning! This morning Juan's boss
called him into his office and told him that he only
had enough work for him through the end of the
week and then they would have to let him go.
Juan went back to his station, wanting to call me,
but not quite sure how to tell your wife you're
getting laid off. After about an hour stomach-
churning nerves Juan's boss called him back into
his office and said he's changed his mind and he
wants to keep Juan at the shop. He's going to
teach him to do different things, so he'll have to
work harder, but he'll be able to work. What a
morning!

My goal this spring was to build our food storage
from a 1 month supply to a 3 month supply and
our savings account from 1 months salary to 3
months salary. I'm almost there with both of them
and though I hope we never have to rely on them,
it feels so good knowing they're there.

Anyway, all is well in the Pardo house. Ups and
downs but always together and always happy!
